USC has obtained coverage of Science Citation Index back to 1900.

Science Citation Index Expanded provides access to bibliographic information, author abstracts, and cited references from over 6,650 of the world’s leading scholarly science and technology journals covering more than 150 disciplines.

The Norris Medical Library has recently added two highly-respected databases, Natural Standard and Natural Medicines Comprehensive Database, which provide reliable, unbiased, evidence-based information on natural products.

Publisher Oxford University Press’ new Oxford Open program gives authors the option of paying a publication fee to have their papers freely and immediately available online.

Looking for patient handout information? ACP PIER, Essential Evidence Plus, and UpToDate can all help you fill that need.

Both ACP PIER from Stat!Ref and Wiley’s Essential Evidence Plus offer patient handouts in English and Spanish provided by the American Academy of Family Physicians

UpToDate offers patient information free at http://www.uptodate.com/patients.

The Norris Medical Library now subscribes to Nature’s Clinical Practice journals, which are available online to USC users.
